Anders Namestnik

Currently earning a BM double major in Vocal Performance and Music Education, Anders Namestnik is an educator and tenor vocalist studying at the Eastman School of Music. Anders Grew up in Canandaigua, NY where he currently resides enjoying his time playing tennis, running, and singing. In the classroom, Anders strives to create a joyful and productive musical experience to all students.

In regards to performance, Anders has landed roles such as Gérard in Eastman Opera Theatre’s production of Les enfants terribles, and a cover role of Don Ottavio in Geneva Light Opera’s 2017 production of Don Giovanni at the Smith Opera House. In addition to this, Anders has achieved honorable mention in the 2018 Kneisel competition and 1st place in the 2015 NATS competition: sophomore division. He has also performed in many notable groups including The University of Rochester Yellow Jackets, Eastman Chorale, and Rochester’s Third Presbyterian Church Choir.

Anders attributes his love for music to the music educators that have dedicated their lives to music literacy and competency. Anders has worked with “Theory in Motion” in the past and is thrilled to join the team of educators!
