Eric Bergeman

Eric Bergeman is a flutist originally from Forman, North Dakota. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Flute Performance at the Eastman School of Music, studying with Bonita Boyd and Anne Harrow, and is a flute instructor at the Eastman Community Music School. Eric has won numerous competitions, including the 2023 Tal Perkes Flute Competition, the Jacqueline Avant Young Artist Competition, the Fargo-Moorhead Area Youth Symphony Founders Concerto Competition, and was a prize winner in the MTNA National Woodwinds Competition. While in Rochester, he was president of Eastman’s student-run contemporary ensemble, OSSIA New Music, for the 2022-2023 season. Recently, he has performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Musica Nova, the Eastman Philharmonia, the Eastman Wind Ensemble, and was Principal Flutist of the Northern Ambassadors of Music European Tour.

Eric Bergeman is an avid chamber musician and is a founding member of the Silverwood Duo with guitarist Django Klumpp. The duo formed at the Eastman School of Music and has performed recitals across North America. Eric has also performed at the soundSCAPE Festival in Switzerland, the Sarasota Music Festival, the Sewanee Summer Music Festival, the Eastern Music Festival, the International Institute for Young Musicians, and the Soiva Music Camp in Finland.
