Tuition: $160 per semester
Tuition with lessons (10% off): $144 per semester
Tuition with lessons and two or more concurrent 17-week classes or ensembles (15% off): $136 per semester
Virtuosi is for advanced students working on NYSSMA Solo Levels and/or Eastman Levels IV-VI with considerable experience in private lessons. The group performs original works for string orchestra by composers like Holst, Mozart, and Mendelssohn and are featured in Kilbourn or Hatch Halls two times a year.
Permission required.
Audition Requirements:
1) Solo of the student’s choice (NYSSMA/ECMS: Level 3+)
2) Sight reading
3) Scales of your choice, preferably memorized and with varying bowings/rhythms (3+ two-octave scales)
