Flute Technique Class

Tuition: $160 per semester
Tuition with lessons (10% off): $144 per semester
This course is designed for advanced students who wish to build on and enhance fundamental technique. Material will include exercises that cover the full range of the flute through major and minor scales; major, minor, diminished and augmented arpeggios; interval work; mastery of articulation with emphasis on double and triple tonguing. Aside from exercises designed specifically for this course, primary repertoire will be selected from standard daily exercises books of Kujala, Taffanel, and Gaubert, as well as passage work from the solo and orchestral repertoire. Classes will include playing through the material in a group setting as well as individual playing.
This class is best suited for students that play at a NYSSMA level VI.
