The Office of Student Life assists and supports students in a variety of ways. The Assistant Dean for Student Life:
- Serves as the Local Disability Resource Coordinator for the Eastman School of Music to make arrangements for reasonable accommodations in educational settings;
- Works closely with students and faculty to arrange appropriate accommodations for students who have a short-term injury or illness;
- Serves as the campus judicial officer, working with students to resolve conflict and who have been accused of non-academic code of conduct violations;
- Serves as a member of the Eastman Student Support Network to identify students and that may need attention, support, or assistance. The Eastman Student Support Network regularly communicates with the following offices: University Counseling Center, University Health Service, International Services Office, University Intercessor, Coordinator of Disability Resources, University Security Services, the Registrar, the Bursar, and Financial Aid.
