Unknown. Tradition within the Library refers its holdings of ephemera relating to Boston in the nineteenth century to materials compiled by the mother of Barbara Duncan and donated by the latter to the Library.

The scrapbook contains mainly newspaper reviews and clippings, with some images of artists, predominantly concerning opera performances in Boston from 1897-1901.

Among the department’s general ephemera collection is much relating to Boston in the late nineteenth century.
