Sibley Music Library
The primary form of access to the holdings of Watanabe Special Collections is through on-site use in the department’s reading room during regular department hours.
Service is provided primarily to the community of the Eastman School of Music and the University of Rochester.
In keeping with Hiram Watson Sibley's original mandate for the Sibley Music Library, members of the local Rochester community are welcome to use the department's holdings.
The department provides reference service out of the department’s resources to off-site researchers and patrons.
On-site access is available to any of the above categories of potential users.
Those outside the ESM/UR community are urged to contact the department in advance of any visit.
Microfilms
Many items in the collection are available through copies of existing microforms. The Library’s Inter-Library Loan department handles such requests. Requests for original filming of items may also be directed to the Inter-Library Loan department. Microfilming of items depends upon the condition of the item to be filmed and any special restrictions relating to it..
Photocopies
The department accepts requests for photocopies of materials, but response to those requests is dependent on the following:
The department reserves the right to refuse to photocopy on any of the above grounds.
