Biography: The JY Minstrels was a music club of the Jewish Young Men's & Young Women's Association in Rochester.

Provenance: The collection originated with the director of the group, Herbert Zahn, and was donated to the Library after his death.

Scope and Content: The collection contains materials from the JY Minstrel shows from the late 1930's and early 1940's.

Associations: This is one of three collections originating with Herbert Zahn. The other two are the Herbert Zahn Collection and the Avon Rotary Minstrels Collection
