Biography: Herbert Zahn was president of R.G.&E. and an avid amateur musician locally. He organized several amateur groups including the R.G.&E. choruses, and Zahn Orchestra, and maintained a small private piano studio. He was also active in the Avon Rotary Club's annual musical productions and the local JY Minstrels.

Provenance: The collection was donated to the library upon Zahn's death.

Scope and Content: The collection contains a small variety of items reflecting Zahn's varied amateur career.

Associations: Watanabe Special Collections also holds small collections relating to the Avon Rotary Club musical productions and the JY Minstrel productions, both of which originate with Zahn.
