Biography: Earl Groner is a music teacher in New York State and a private collector of letters, photographs, and manuscripts relating to music.
Provenance: Groner donated the collection to Sibley Library for public research.
Scope and Content: The collections consists of photocopies of letters by major composers, often on interesting matters relating to musical text or interpretation, and a photocopy of a leaf of the first sketch for Tannhauser.
