Biography: P. Peter Sacco was born in 1928 Albion, New York. He received the MM and DMA from Eastman School of Music in composition. He has been a member of the faculty of Aquinas College, University of Hawaii, San Francisco State University. He is a regular recipient of commissions and grants, including the National Foundation for the Arts, The Ford Foundation, and the American Music Center. His works have been published by Lawson-Gould, Carl Fischer, and Summy-Birchard.
Provenance: The collection is an ongoing collection donated by P. Peter Sacco.
Scope and Content: The collection contains copies of printed musica and reproductions of manuscripts of the works of P. Peter Sacco.
Associations: Watanabe Special Collections holds collections of music composed by several American Composers, emphasizing faculty and alumni of the Eastman School of Music.
Restrictions: Works are subject to copyright restrictions. Students of Eastman School have permission to copy items for the purpose of performance, but must notify the composer that they are doing so and for what purpose. A copy of the recital program must be sent to the composer as well as a copy of any recording, should one be made. Sibley Library is reponsible for duplication charges.
