The Eastman Young Artists International Piano Competition is open to pianists of all nationalities who were born before August 1, 1997, and after August 7, 1993.
Previous prizewinners of the Eastman Young Artists International Piano Competition, or pianists currently studying with members of the 2012 international jury will NOT be eligible to participate in the competition.
Application
All applications and mailed enclosures must be received by April 1, 2012.
Incomplete applications will not be considered. Successful applicants will be notified of their acceptance by May 1, 2012, at which point further information will be provided.
Complete applications must include the following:
- Application Form
All applications must be submitted electronically. Once completed, you must print a copy of the final application and include it with your audition recording, proof of age, and application fee.→ Complete the Application Form
- Proof of Age
A photocopy of a birth certificate, passport, or other official document verifying your birth date must be included with the application materials.
- Audition CD/DVD
The audition CD/DVD must include a minimum of thirty minutes of solo piano music, representing at least two contrasting styles. Repertory used on the audition CD/DVD may be repeated in the preliminary rounds of the competition. The contestant’s name must be clearly marked on the audition CD/DVD.
- Application Fee of $100 USD
This fee may be paid by credit card or by check in US dollars, payable to the Eastman School of Music. For payment by credit card, please complete and print the Payment Form and return it with your application materials
