Jeff Kempskie is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Organ Performance and Literature at the Eastman School of Music where he studies with Dr. William Porter. In addition to his academic responsibilities, he accompanies the Eastman Repertory Singers and serves as Interim Director of Music at Bethany Presbyterian Church. Prior to studying at Eastman, Jeff taught choral music at the Eaglebrook School in Deerfield, MA and served as Director of Music at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church near Springfield, MA. He previously taught choral music at Quabbin Regional Middle/High School. In addition to teaching, he has been piano accompanist for choirs at UMass Amherst and Smith College and has music-directed or played keyboard for dozens of musical theater productions in central and western Massachusetts.
Jeff received his bachelor’s degree in Music Education and a master’s degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Besides studying music, Jeff enjoys meditation and is deeply interested in spirituality and metaphysics. |
