Arriving in Göteborg

We finally arrived at the airport in Göteborg and were greeted by Hans Davidsson (Eastman's own Associate Professor of Organ) and Johannes Landgren (Professor of Organ at the Göteborg University).

Örgryte Church

One of the main reasons for our trip to Sweden was to experience the amazing North German Baroque organ in the Örgryte Church. After dropping our bags at the Youth Hostel and a short orientation, we traveled to the church for our first experience with the organ we had heard so much about. Professor Bill Porter (the newest addition to Eastman's Keyboard Faculty) demonstrated the various stops and ensemble registrations on the organ by improvising chorale variations in the Baroque style.
