Sweden Trip 2003

Travelling to Sweden

Monday, January 6 was a travel day, with a bus ride in the morning from the Eastman School in Rochester, New York to the Newark International Airport in New Jersey. We then boarded a Scandanavian Airlines flight that flew through the night to land on Tuesday morning in Stockholm, Sweden.

A long layover in Stockholm on Tuesday morning allowed for a visit of the Maria Magdelena Church where the organist of the church, Ralph Gustasson, had agreed to give a tour and demonstration of the church's two organs: An organ built in the French baroque style and an historic Swedish Romantic Organ.

After collecting our bags, we took an express train into the city of Stockholm and made the walk to the church through the cold morning.
