The Eastman Community Music School (ECMS) provides musical instruction to non-collegiate students of all ages and levels of accomplishment. ECMS, an integral part of the Eastman School of Music since its founding in 1921, serves more than 1,500 students from the greater Rochester area and beyond. Lessons, ensemble rehearsals and classes are conducted at the School with the exception of the New Horizons Band, Orchestra and Chorus Programs, which meet at off-campus locations. A 25% discount is available to full-time UR faculty and staff members after one year of service, as well as their spouses and dependent children. Faculty and staff may apply for this discount by completing a UR Tuition Waiver form. These forms are available at the Information Window or can be printed from the UR Benefits website. Completed forms should be returned to the Benefits office.
