Harp Year in Review

Meghan reflects back on her year, from graduating from Rice University, performing with the Houston Symphony, driving across the country, and performing over 27 “47 Strings” outreach concerts. It was a fantastic year for freelancing with lots of great memories. Can’t wait to see what the next year holds!

Alfredo San Malo Festival Part One

Working for a Latin American Orchestra festival….

My West Point Band Audition

My experience as a finalist for the West Point Band Commercial Trombone vacancy.

Tornado and rehearsal!

It’s never a dull moment ~ a tornado interrupted my rehearsal. Everyone is safe! Also, discussion of the CBDNA national convention coming up this week in Greensboro, NC.

The week of traveling that made my friends think I’m nuts. Freelancing in LA, TX, and MA

Think you’re busy with gigs? Meghan can relate. In this vlog she talks about having rehearsals in Baton Rouge, and auditions in Boston and Houston. All within the same week. Orchestral playing is amazing, but logistics can be exhausting.

Vlog 12 – Language Skills matter

Why language skills are helpful to musicians of all kinds.

What do I do when I’m not practicing? Vlog #9

Lots of time is spent in the practice room. But not all of it is practicing or recording. Things like teaching, driving, organizing music, and instrument repairs are all necessary parts of being a freelance musician.

Post Concert Report!

In this Vlog I share how my most recent concert performance went, my recent visit to the University of Miami and my plans for the rest of the semester!
