Woldingham Summer Flute and Saxophone Workshops

For the last 20 years we have set the standard for flute summer schools…students from around the world  come to improve their skills by enjoying world-class tuition in a wonderfully friendly, non-competitive and supportive environment. Everyone can benefit from the course…come and be inspired. Tuition is tailored to different skill levels, including an intensive course for advanced players and a performance course to conservatoire level. As well as coaching in technique in master-classes and private lessons, there is the opportunity to play with chamber ensembles, flute choirs and group sessions…there will be plenty of time for discussion and advice on all matters flute…orchestral playing, audition preparation, teaching, career planning, the list is endless. In addition to a 600-seat concert hall, there are studios and practice rooms.

The longest running Saxophone Summer School in the UK, The International Saxophone Summer Course 2012 offers participants a chance to study with some of the UK’s leading Saxophone players and teachers.  Led by Rob Buckland (International soloists & recording artist, and Professor of Saxophone at the RNCM, Manchester, widely regarded as the leading conservatoire for Saxophone study in the UK) and joined by Andy Scott (saxophonist and composer extraordinaire, tutor at the RNCM) and Fiona Asbury (one of the UKs most enterprising young solo players, both classical and beyond, and an ex-student of both Rob and Andy), the tuition on this course is of the very highest standard, and will push your playing to new levels.  Expect to be challenged, cajoled, encouraged, taken out of your comfort zone, and pushed to the very best of your ability.
