April 2008
- Jerseyband (made up of all Eastman alums!) is featured in the IML Spotlight this month. Don't miss their lecture, "entrepreneurship and lungcore {how to produce your own music in the era of the mp3}", on THURSDAY, APRIL 10, 2008, from 5:30-6:30 pm in ESM 305!
- Neil Jordan, Managing Director WW Health for Microsoft Corporation, will be presenting a lecture titled "A Non-Linear Life in Music" during the ALP class Entrepreneurship in Music. Friday, April 4, 2008, from 1:30-2:30 pm in Miller Center 320.
- Do you play piano, percussion or double bass? The Academy—a program of Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School, and The Weill Music Institute in partnership with the New York City Department of Education — is still accepting applications for these instruments! The Academy is a two-year fellowship that directly serves the finest post-graduate musicians in the early stages of their careers, by bridging the gap between their academic and professional lives. The goal of the fellowship is to create a new generation of musicians equally skilled in — and committed to — performance and music education. Interested? Contact L.E. Howell, Director of the Carnegie Hall Collaboration (lehowell@juilliard.edu) for more information no later than April 18. http://www.acjw.org/
