Music Vacancy List - Issued by the College Music Society. An excellent source for job listings. Members may receive the weekly listing via e-mail or monthly by hard-copy.

AcademicKeys.com: - A great resource for job listing, featuring an extensive database of academic jobs in the fine arts. Search by specific job categories, academic fields, or descriptive keywords. An online subscription is available, and you can select specific types of jobs for which you would like to receive listings. It also provides a database of faculty and administrators in higher education, as well as many other professional resources. Very user-friendly.
Academic360: - One of the leading resources for academic employment opportunities on the Internet. There are hundreds of web resources for faculty and administrative employment opportunities by discipline, function, college, location.
Adjunct Advocate: - Excellent source for adjunct faculty resources and jobs. The JOB-LIST contains listings for both part-time, as well as full-time temporary college faculty appointments. Listings are posted by universities throughout Canada, Mexico, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and Africa. Also offers advice on job applications, and CV posting service. One year subscription - $35.00; one year web page access - $25.00.
Higher Ed Jobs Online: - National database for open faculty and staff positions in higher education at affiliated institutions, free for both candidates and institutions. Excellent source; search jobs by location, by keyword, and by category (administrative / staff, executive, faculty, or part-time / adjunct positions). This is the former “Jobs in Higher Education” site.
American Association of Community Colleges (AACC): - Job listings and many additional resources for community colleges. The CareerLine is a collection of online job announcements from the AACC Community College Times.
Women in Higher Education: - Extensive lists of announcements from schools actively seeking applications from qualified women candidates for administrative and faculty positions. (Positions are open to all qualified candidates). Listings are not currently searchable by keyword, only by position type and geographic location.
Academic Employment Network: - Lists jobs available at the University and K-12 level. Job listings are searchable by state, but it's not a very user friendly site.Additional fee-based service available.
NationJob's Education Listings: - Lists range of higher education and K-12 positions; focus is primarily on the Midwest. Database is searchable by category, location and salary. Also offers resume services.
California Community Colleges Jobbank: - A service allowing a search for faculty and administrative positions at California Community Colleges. An updated source, CCC Registry Plus, has new features: online application, resume building and submission, & job bank searching.
EDUCAUSE: - The mission of EDUCAUSE is to transform education through information technology. Lists jobs in higher education, mostly related to information technology. Music positions occasionally appear.
Jobs and Services in Student Affairs: - Great set of resources and listings of jobs created by and for professionals in Student Affairs.

Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC): - Faculty and Staff positions in all disciplines. For music positions, check subcategories also (i.e. Theory, Education, etc.) as positions are categorized differently in each of the 10 annual updates.
Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC): - The Association of Canadian Community Colleges is the national, voluntary membership organization created in 1972 to represent colleges and institutes to government, business and industry, both in Canada and internationally. Job listings available in French and English.
Monster.com - Canada: - Large, searchable database; sometimes includes faculty positions / jobs in education in Canadian colleges and universities.
Education Canada Network (ECN): - Educational employment opportunities in Canada, from school districts to universities. Search by position, category, and location. Also offers great resources regarding certification information, resume tips and salaries.

MENC--The National Association for Music Education: - Job listing service from the National Association of Music Educators. The MENC Job Center allows you to register as a job seeker or as an employer.
K-12 jobs.com: - One of the premier job listing and resource services for K-12 employment. This web site concentrates in posting job opportunities available at Kindergarten, Elementary Schools, Junior High, High Schools and Vocational Schools. Must register for free services! Job search, resume posting, cover letter, one click application and more.
SchoolStaff.com: - Good listing resource for education jobs (faculty and staff), particularly for K-12 positions. Search job database for free, register and apply for jobs online.
CCD - Common Core of Data: - Offered by the National Center for Education Statistics. Provides comprehensive, annual, national statistical database of information concerning all public elementary and secondary schools (approximately 87,000) and school districts (approximately 16,000); information on public schools and school districts in the United States. Research districts directly for profiles.
Academic Employment Network: - A website whose function is to provide job postings at the K-12 and university level. The search function is by state location. Most jobs listed are K-12. Links to other career resources are provided to members - membership costs $19.95. Not a very good service.
American Association for Employment in Education (AACE): - AAEE members have direct access to research, publications and networking with colleagues - membership fee for access.
Project Connect: - A resource for K-12 jobs postings nationwide; multiple listings in music on a regular basis. You can additionally sign up for an email alert service; sponsored by AAEE and AASPA to connect schools and teachers 'in the information age.' Password required, available from Careers and Professional Development Office
TeachingJobs.com: - Job Board, district and employer information, post and edit your resume online. Search by position/location for jobs in the United States, Canada and abroad. Over 1750 schools are registered with this service.
Rice Education Club: - Run by Rice University, this site provides certification information, links to public and private schools, and a variety of other interesting job links. Targeted to undergraduates and recent graduates of Rice University
NationJob Network: - Network of computerized recruitment services provided by NationJob, Inc., an independent, closely-held private company based in Des Moines, Iowa which has provided a computerized job listing service since 1988. Search by keyword and / or location. You can also register to get free email updates of positions relevant to your search, and to manage a personal profile which uses your search criteria. Listings are primarily K-12, but does include some university positions.
Independent School Management (ISM): - Lists faculty and administrative positions in private independent schools.
National Educator's Employment Review: - The online version of the paper journal. Excellent source of job listings and resources for educators. Job site is free but requires a password which you can apply for online.
TeacherJobs.com: - Operated by Education Placement Service (EPS), which provides assistance in placement for teachers in public, private and parochial schools on the elementary, secondary and college levels throughout the nation. No cost unless the teacher successfully gains employment through information provided by EPS.
Teachers@Work: - A service of the National Educators Employment Network. A good site featuring a powerful search engine. Edit and post your resume online.
Teacher Job Links: - Links to jobs and links to employment opportunities. Search by district and area.
National Association of Teachers' Agencies: Consortium to serve school administrators in recruiting candidates, and to guide appropriate educators towards appropriate career opportunities. (Some of the agencies in the consortium charge a fee for placement services).

International Musician - In addition to providing union news to it's members, the International Musician aims to provide readers with information on current musical events, reports on technological advances affecting musicians, and interviews with top recording/performing artists and the steps they have taken to become successful. Available in the Careers and Professional Development Office for perusal, and by subscription.
