50th Reunion Gift

What is Eastman’s 50th Reunion Gift?

  • The 50th reunion giving program offers an opportunity for members of the classes of 1957 and 1958 to individually and collectively celebrate their Eastman heritage, while giving back to the alma mater that has given them so much.
  • All contributions made to Eastman from members of the classes of 1957 and 1958 from January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2008 will count as part of the 50th reunion gift.
  • The 50th reunion classes of 1953 and 1954 were the first to make a 50th reunion class gift. It is one of Eastman’s newest traditions.

What can I support?

  • You are encouraged to reflect on all that your Eastman experience has afforded you over the past 50 years and to direct your support to an area of personal interest and fulfillment.
  • The options include making an unrestricted gift in support of the Eastman Fund, providing for the School through your estate with a planned gift, and making a meaningful contribution in support of a special purpose.

What is the goal for the 50th Reunion Gift?

It is the goal for every alumnus/alumna celebrating his or her 50th reunion to participate with the class gift, and to make a gift at a level that surpasses her or her earlier gifts to Eastman. Please consider celebrating your milestone reunion with a milestone gift!

Why should I give?

The Eastman School of Music was established through the philanthropic spirit of George Eastman. The 50th reunion giving program perpetuates that same spirit, ensuring that future generations of Eastman students will enjoy an education characterized by the highest standards of artistry, leadership, and scholarship.

How will the 50th reunion classes be recognized?

A recognition plaque will be created in honor of Eastman’s 50th Reunion Classes and will feature a group photo of 50th reunion attendees for a full year.

How can I make my gift?

Gifts to the Eastman Fund can be made on-line. For all other gifts, please contact Eastman's Office of Development at 585-274-1040 or 866-345-2111 (toll-free).
