Highlight
on Alumni 
The Portland Symphony Orchestra names Lisa
Dixon (BM ‘03) as its new Executive Director. Lisa most recently
was at the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, where she had been chief operating
officer since 2008. more
Andrea Mumm
(BM ’09) was awarded an ALP 2010 post graduate summer internship working
with Fifth
House Ensemble,
whose Executive Director, Melissa Ngan Snoza (BM ’02) is also an ALP
alum. Fifth House liked Andrea’s work so much that they hired her as
their new Marketing/Development Coordinator. Good work Andrea!
Andrea is also working on her Professional Diploma in Orchestral Studies at
Roosevelt University.
The Breaking Winds makes the cover
of the Dutch Bassoon Society’s magazine, De Fagot. Current ALP
student Kara LaMoure (BM ’11) and ALP alums Brittany Harrington
(BM ’10) and Eryn Bauer (BM ’10) are members.
Congratulations to Alyssa Griggs (BM '10) on being a first prize winner in the Alexander and Buono International flute competition, resulting in her Carnegie Hall debut on October 24, 2010. Alyssa is currently working on her master's degree in flute performance at New England Conservatory.
