ooc_logo.jpgAlison Lowell (BM ‘06) and her Los Angeles based group, “Out of Context,” are collaborating with the “Proper Glue Percussion Duo” and conducting a series of unique presentations and concerts in Rochester and at SUNY Fredonia from April 25-27, consisting entirely of Eastman alumni and current MCj04338060000[1]students.  Funding is being provided by the “Meet the Composer” Foundation to present an instrument invented by ESM student Paul Coleman, the “wrenchophone.”  New music for wrenches will be presented at local hardware stores with the idea that in this economy, it isn’t necessary to have a formal concert hall to get people excited about classical music.
