Career Tips
Be
professional early on, even while a student. Sometimes even not signing a
contract will make or break the bank. Verbal agreements are equally
important as are written contracts, often times more important, due to the phenomenon called
“word-of-mouth.” If you cancel an already scheduled gig, chances are,
you are not going to be called on again. Cancellations by you also have an
impact on how the organizer views Eastman and the rest of its students. An
equivalent example would be a student signing up for a gig through the Gig
Service, and later cancelling the engagement. Read our Gig
Service Policies for more information.
