Students
All students who wish to work for the University of Rochester Student Employment Office, including the Eastman School of Music, must complete an I-9 form before they BEGIN working. You cannot begin working until the ESM Financial Aid Office has receipt of your I-9 and approves it. All Graduate Students receiving stipends should see Janice Van Opdorp, Financial and Human Resources, 10 Gibbs Street, Suite 250.
Administrators
It is a liability to the Eastman School of Music for the student to work before an I-9 has been completed and processed. Prior to allowing a student to begin work please verify that Student Employment, X5-3226 Option #4, has received and approved their I-9. The student cannot be paid until this form is received and approved. In addition, should they become injured while working without an I-9, insurance coverage is not in effect.
I-9 forms (Graduate Students, Staff, Faculty)
I-9 forms are available in the Offices of Financial and Human Resource Services (FHRS) at 10 Gibbs St, suite 250. Routinely FHRS has office hours specifically for students requiring an I-9, at the start of each academic year. Student Employment Employees should go to the Financial Aid Office.
