The University makes a conscientious effort to provide prompt and reliable assistance for safe passage throughout the University. Of course, escort services are intended to serve as a backup to each individual’s own efforts to coordinate travel plans with fellow workers, classmates and friends, including the use of established transportation services.
As with any plan, alternatives need to be in place should your primary means fall through or otherwise change. You may request a safety escort by picking up a Blue Light Emergency Phone or by calling x5-3333 from any University phone. All escort volunteers and staff are in constant radio contact with the Security Communications Center. For more information please visit our Web site at http://www.security.rochester.edu
