Information concerning aspects of the school’s instructional programs is available from this office. The Office of Academic Affairs administers the following: applied music teacher assignments; individual studio lessons for University of Rochester students; special requests for exceptions to curriculum requirements; academic review (warning, probation, dismissal); changes of Undergraduate academic (major, degree) and enrollment (inactive, withdrawal) status (Graduate academic and enrollment status changes are made through the Graduate Office); Take Five for Eastman students; Conservatory Exchange; advising of dual degree students; Professional Development funding; and Teaching Assistant Prize. Several certificate and diploma programs are also supervised through this office: Sacred Music Diploma, Ethnomusicology Diploma, World Music Certificate, Certificate in Community and/or Collegiate Teaching, and the Orchestral Studies Diploma.
