Recording Services
The Technology and Media Production Department is a scholastic bureau designed to integrate media services throughout the Eastman Community. From concert recordings to computer support the T&MP department provides resources and equipment elemental to the school’s growing technological demands. One of the largest needs of Eastman’s students and faculty falls to the aide of the T&MP department by way of recording services. The T&MP department employs professional audio engineers to record every Eastman concert and recital via five state of the art recording control rooms. The live music is recorded on to magneto optical discs, digitized and stored on the department hard drive and transferred to CD format. The recordings are then made available for purchase to Eastman performers, as well as to the rest of the community as archived listening copies in the Sibley Music Library.
