Setup Eastman Email in Microsoft Outlook 2010

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2010.
  2. On the ‘Microsoft Outlook 2010 Startup’ screen, click Next.
  3. When prompted to configure an e-mail account, ensure Yes is selected and click Next.
  4. On the ‘Auto Account Setup’ screen, select Manually configure server settings or additional server types and click Next.
  5. On the ‘Choose Service’ screen, select Microsoft Exchange or compatible service and click Next.
  6. Enter ITS-EXC2.UR.Rochester.edu as the server, uncheck Use Cached Exchange Mode, enter your computer login name as the User Name, and click the More Settings button.
  7. Click the Security tab and check Always prompt for logon credentials.
  8. Click the Connection tab, click Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP, and click the Exchange Proxy Settings button.
  9. Enter webmail.ur.rochester.edu as the URL to connect to my proxy server for Exchange. Place a check next to Connect using SSL only and Only connect to proxy servers that have this principal name in their certificate and then enter msstd:webmail.ur.rochester.edu in the associated text field. Place a check next to On slow networks…. In the Proxy authentication settings area, select NTLM Authentication from the drop down list and then click the OK button.

  10. Click the OK button again and then click the Next button. When prompted, enter ur\username where username is the account you use to login to your Eastman computer along with your password for that account. Click the Finish button.
  11. Open Microsoft Outlook 2010 and enter ur\username where username is the account you use to login to your Eastman computer along with your password for that account.
