Sound

Boombox
Our boom box is small and portable with radio, cassette and CD playing capabilities. It comes with a remote control, power cord and battery option.

CD Player
This CD player can be plugged into external speakers for maximum sound quality.

Computer Speakers
These desktop computer speakers provide quality sound and are most commonly used to amplify PowerPoint presentations with embedded sound.

Audio Cable
Our audio cables can enhance your lecture, meeting or presentation by letting you implement various sound reinforcement configurations.

Conference Call Equipment
We offer a unit for joining conference calls.

Photography

Digital Camera

Kodak Easyshare P880: Our digital camera has 8-megapixels and a 5.8x optical zoom. The LCD display is high-resolution and 2.5 inches tall. It comes with a built-in flash, rechargeable battery and battery charger, tripod plate and USB cable.

Tripods

Our tripods are lightweight and compact. They are made from tubular aluminum and support compact cameras and camcorders. We supply tripod plates that fit all of our recording equipment.

Data ProjectorInstructions

Our data projectors connect easily to laptops for audio/visual projections. They can be borrowed with portable screens to enhance presentations and lessons.

Overhead Projector

The classic classroom tool. Our overhead projector can be borrowed with portable screens to enhance presentations and lessons using transparencies.

Slide Projector

The classic classroom tool. Our slide projector can be borrowed with portable screens to enhance presentations and lessons using images.

Portable Screen

These portable screens are lightweight, come with a built-in carrying case, and have a viewing area of 5’4″ x 4′.

Audio Recording

Tascam DR-05 portable digital recorder

Our portable Tascam DR-05 recorder is very easy to use, records to the recorder itself, and the files are transferred directly to your computer, using a usb transfer cable.  It comes with a soft case, AC adapter/AC cord, and usb cable with instructions.

CDR Recorder with MicrophoneInstructions

Our portable CD recorder is used for direct to CD-R/RW live recording. It has a built in microphone and speakers, rechargeable battery and remote control. We provide an external mic and mic stand when borrowing the portable CDR.

Mini Disc Recorder

The Sony MZ R50 is a hand-held mini disc digital recorder.

Self Serve Recording UnitsInstructions (Howard Hanson Hall and Ciminelli Lounge)

This CD recorder is located in Ciminelli Lounge as well as in Howard Hanson Hall. These self-serve recording units enable students to record their own recitals and performances. Please provide your own CD when self-recording and don’t forget to finalize your disc.

Video Recording

Hard Drive Video Camera

Our Canon video cameras record directly to the hard drive of the camera – the files can be transferred to your computer using the usb transfer cable.  It comes in a soft case with a power cord, and transfer cable.  This camera can be used with our tripods that we provide with every camera loaner.

VHS Camcorder

Our VHS camcorder records onto standard size VHS tapes. It comes in a hard case with a battery and power cord. This camcorder can be used with our tripods, but you must provide your own VHS tape.
Please note: As our camcorder can only record at a fast speed; each VHS tape will only be able to capture two hours of recording time.

DVD Camcorder

Our DVD camcorder records onto mini DVDs. It comes in a case with a battery, power cord and AV cable. This camcorder can be used with our tripods. Please provide your own disc(s) when planning to record.

Tripod

Our tripods are lightweight and compact. They are made from tubular aluminum and support compact cameras and camcorders. We supply tripod plates that fit all of our recording equipment.

Computers

Mac Adapter (for connection to projectors)
We offer VGA cables to borrow when connecting our Mac laptops to our data projectors.

Internet Connection
At your request we can outfit your reserved room with internet connectivity, to connect your class, presentation or event with the Web. Please note that there are University costs associated with having a network drop installed.

Mac Laptop
Our MacBook comes with a power adapter, a mouse, a laser mouse and a 14″ ethernet cable (for Faculty and Staff)

Included Hardware:

  • Internal Ethernet Card – used for connecting to the Eastman network as well as other high-speed connections such as cable, DSL and hotel networks.
