Minors and Electives
Sometimes it is better to blend interests by concentrating on one degree program while electing courses outside of that program within the other area of interest. Eastman students are eligible to register for any courses offered at the University of Rochester for which they are qualified. Eastman students also may pursue a minor field of study at The College (generally a five- or six-course integrated sequence in a major area) or a cluster (predefined three-course, intra- and inter-disciplinary sequences). With some exceptions, these courses count toward the humanities and science requirements in the BM degree at Eastman. (For more information on curricula and course offerings in The College, visit the UR Web site at www.rochester.edu.) Eastman students who are interested in a significant program of study at the College may be well stuied for the University's "Take Five" program of study, a fifth year of study that is tuition free.
