The Aspen Contemporary Ensemble will premiere a new trio by Steve Rice (Eastman student and participant in the 2011 Aspen Music Festival and School

Friday, May 27, 2011, Greenwich House Music School Renee Weiler Concert Hall, Manhattan, NY.

The new music ensemble ACCESS will premiere a new work for flute, percussion and piano by John Liberatore. The group is planning a second performance in San Francisco during the summer of 2011. At the same concert, Carmen Lemoine and Zuzanna Szewczyk will premiere Set the Table on a Roar by Steve Rice.

Eastman staff and students: John Graham (viola), Barry Snyder (piano), Sean Connors (percussion), perform the works of John Liberatore, Heinrich Biber, Matthias Pintscher, Claude Debussy, Linds Catlan Smith and Leonard Berstein.

Friday, February 25, 2011, Bryan Recital Hall, Bowling Green State University, Ohio, 8 pm

Soprano Amanda DeBoer will premiere John Liberatore’s Plain Truths in a Homespun Dress, a chamber work based on the writings of Timothy Dexter (c. 1800).  The work is dedicated to her and the ai ensemble.

Composer and Saxophonist Kevin O. Ames will perform John Liberatore’s …anything but mindless good taste… and Inertia with pianist Liz Ames in recital  at Arizona State University.

Hot Glass Performance, “Dissolve, Composer: Release

The performance will exhibit the collaborative processes of hot glass casting with live music composed by Jennifer Bellor and performed with improvisation by Sean Connors and Peter Zlotnick, the members of Amphion Percussion.

The performance of Kleines harmonisches Labyrinth III by Gilad Rabinovich for flute, two violas da gamba, harpsichord and piano by members of the Israeli Bach Soloists and members of Meitar who commissioned the work.

Eastman School of Music Students perform the works of Martin Herchenroeder. Featured works include Zeit Raum for organ and Winternatchtmusik for viola.

Igor Santos’s composition for solo violin and digital playback, entitled Electronic Essay #14 will be performed by Amanda Raber at the concert, NEW MUSIC: THE NEXT GENERATION.
