Senior Recitals

Many of our graduating seniors like to perform a senior recital at Eastman before leaving us. All recitals must be scheduled through the Eastman Community Music School office and have the permission of the studio teacher.

These recitals will occur during Spring Festival.

A) Honors Recitals take place in the afternoon in Kilbourn Hall, Hatch Recital Hall or in the afternoon or evening in Room One, Messinger Hall. These recitals are only for those students who have passed an Honor’s Jury.

B) Those students who are expected to complete a level 6 jury and are diploma students may perform on an afternoon, shared recital in Kilbourn Hall (completed by 6 p.m.) or an afternoon or evening in Room One, Messinger Hall. A shared Kilbourn Hall recital would entail at least two students on a 40-minute recital or three students performing a one-hour recital (20 minutes per student).

C) Those students who are expected to achieve a level 5 jury are allowed to perform one piece (approximately 5 minutes) on a special “Adieu Recital.”

D) Any student wishing to perform a senior recital, either solo or shared, may request Howard Hanson Hall on a first come-first served basis through the Eastman Community Music School office.
