Bruce Burritt
Bruce Burritt (New Horizons intermediate & advanced bands) holds degrees from SUNY Fredonia, Ithaca College and Syracuse University. He became high school band director in the West Genesee Central Schools in 1964 and took on additional duties as District Supervisor of Music in 1968. He directed the Symphonic Band, Marching Band and Wind Ensemble for sixteen years, and led the development of a comprehensive music program in orchestra, chorus and band.
Mr. Burritt became a public school administrator in 1982, serving as assistant principal, high school principal, and superintendent of schools before retiring in 1998 from the Avon School District.
