Thursday Lunchtime Concerts

Concerts take place every Thursday at the First Universalist Church, corner of South Clinton and Court Streets, beginning at 12:15 p.m. and ending at approximately 12:45 p.m. Brown bag lunches are welcome during the performances. Admission is free.
Winter 2009
| January 15 | The Hammered Dulcimer – Music Near and Far Start the New Year off with the lovely sounds of the hammered dulcimer, performed by renowned folk musician and educator Mitzie Collins. |
| January 22 | Fresh winds Hear some of Eastman’s finest freshman woodwind players (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and French horn) in a dazzling display of woodwind quintet repertoire, coached by ESM faculty Anne Harrow. |
| January 29 | Heavenly Love Songs & Pleasant Epitaphs Soprano Eileen Strempel and pianist Sylvie Beaudette treat us to songs by Claude Arrieu, Oliver Missiaen and Lionel Daunais. |
| February 5 | Piano Extravaganza ECMS faculty member Daniela Mineva performs a fabulous recital! |
| February 12 | Eastman Community Chamber Singers Enjoy selections from Johannes Brahms’ Liebeslieder waltzes with an assortment of other love songs, directed by ECMS instructor Patricia Alexander. |
| February 19 | Noontime Jazz Join us for a laid-back lunch hour as students of ESM professor Clay Jenkins perform. |
| February 26 | Music for the Dance Enjoy a spirited concert featuring pianists from the studio of Thomas Schumacher. |
| March 5 | Jazz at Noon Join us for another jazz concert, with students of ESM professor Jeff Campbell. |
| March 12 | Violist Philip Ying Enjoy this special opportunity to hear Ying Quartet member Philip Ying perform music for viola and piano. |
| March 19 | Virtuosi at the Keyboard Hee Jung Nam and Seo Jin Yoo, doctoral pianists from the studio of Thomas Schumacher, perform in recital. |
