Thursday Lunchtime Concerts

Concerts take place every Thursday at the First Universalist Church, corner of South Clinton and Court Streets, beginning at 12:15 p.m. and ending at approximately 12:45 p.m. Brown bag lunches are welcome during the performances. Admission is free.

| January 10 | Bach and Schubert Start the New Year with pianist Sang Woo Kang, in a performance of Bach’s Partita No. 4 in D Major and Schubert’s Impromptu No. 4 in Ab Major. |
| January 17 | The Lyrical Piccolo Enjoy a view from the top as RPO piccoloist Jan Angus performs with pianist Irina Lupines. |
| January 24 | Eastman Community Chamber Singers Hear scenes from Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors, as well as other selections, in this performance by the Eastman Community Chamber Singers under the direction of ECMS voice teacher Patricia Alexander. |
| January 31 | Jazz at Noon Join us for a laid-back lunch hour as students of ESM professor Clay Jenkins perform popular American standards and jazz. |
| February 7 | Fresh Winds Hear some of Eastman’s finest freshman woodwind players (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and French horn) in a dazzling display of woodwind quintet repertoire, coached by ESM professor Anne Harrow. |
| February 14 | Serenades from Italy Celebrate Valentine’s Day as tenor John Chiazza from the studio of Jane Günter-McCoy treats us to a selection of Neapolitan songs including the famous O sole mio. |
| February 21 | Schumann Piano Fantasy Pianist Won Yong Lee performs Schumann’s Fantasy Op. 17. |
| February 28 | Keyboard Extravaganza I Enjoy this recital presented by pianists from the studio of ESM professor Rebecca Penneys. |
| March 6 | Keyboard Extravaganza II More fabulous performances from students of Rebecca Penneys! |
| March 13 | Gilbert & Sullivan! Don’t miss this delightful program of selections from Gilbert and Sullivan productions, performed by Warren Koontz (tenor) and Benjamin Schmitt (bass), students of ECMS Instructor Jane Günter-McCoy. |
