Thursday Lunchtime Concerts

Concerts take place every Thursday at the First Universalist Church, corner of South Clinton and Court Streets, beginning at 12:15 p.m. and ending at approximately 12:45 p.m. Brown bag lunches are welcome during the performances. Admission is free.

| March 26 | Fresh Winds Hear some of Eastman’s finest freshman woodwind players (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and French horn) in a dazzling display of woodwind quintet repertoire, coached by ESM faculty Anne Harrow. |
| April 2 | Oboe and Strings Enjoy lovely chamber music of Moeran and Klughardt performed by principal players of the University of Rochester Symphony Orchestra: Pia Liptak, violin; Keiko Vann, viola; Dorothy Romanet, cello; Kathleen Suher, oboe; and joined by pianist Meghan Phillips. |
| April 9 | Piano Extravaganza I A fabulous concert featuring pianists from the studio of ESM professor Barry Snyder. |
| April 16 | Piano Extravaganza II More pianists from the studio of Barry Snyder. |
| April 23 | Rachmaninoff Pianist Jai Won Choi dazzles us with Piano Sonata No. 2 |
| April 30 | YOUKALI: French and Spanish Songs of Paradise ECMS faculty members Cecile Saine, soprano, and Howard Spindler, piano, perform music by Poulenc, Weill, and Obradors. |
| May 7 | Jazz at Noon Enjoy jazz standards and American popular songs performed by Eastman doctoral trumpet student, Mark Filsinger, and his Quartet. |
| May 14 | American Flute Sonatas Flutists Sophia Gibbs Kim and Carmen Lemoine team up with pianist Irina Lupines in a performance of music by Walter Piston and Robert Muczynski. |
| May 21 | Flutissimo! The ECMS Krusentjerna Scholarship Flute Choir, under the direction of Sophia Gibbs Kim, perform music for many flutes. |
| May 28 | Honors Finale! Don’t miss our final concert featuring the Eastman Community School Honors graduates: soprano Oscia Miles and jazz guitarist Gabe Condon. |
